Harry Reid pulls a Joe Biden

Harry Reid, Senate Majority leader, has been quoted as saying that Barack Obama could become the first African-American president because he was “light-skinned” and that he did not have a “Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” Mr. Reid made these comments back when President Obama was still candidate Obama. The news cycle today has been filled up with stories on this remark which was first revealed in the book “Game Change” (http://www.amazon.com/Game-Change-Clintons-McCain-Lifetime/dp/0061733636/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263241011&sr=8-1). These remarks were racially insensitive but at the same time are hardly politically devastating to Mr. Reid. While many talking heads are calling for majority leader Reid’s dismissal you won’t find that opinion here. He said something stupid, just like most politicians do at one point or another, can we get back to some real issues now?
